Children Taking Over the World (School) was a major event planned for the day at our school.

In this activity, students played the roles of adults - headmasters and teachers. Every job in the campus was handled by the children, and they were able to experience the hard work and challenges of an adult's daily routine.

This activity gave the children the opportunity to express themselves and speak their minds. As a result, adults become more attentive and understanding of the children's inner needs and desires.

Compared to last year, there was a significant increase in the variety of positions available to apply for this year, ranging from teaching positions to covering many administrative roles.

Students could apply to become a front desk teacher and experience tasks such as receiving visitors and handling daily enquiries; they could also try their hand as a restaurant manager and learn how to plan menus, manage inventory and ensure food safety; and they even had the opportunity to become an enrolment manager and participate in the school's recruitment work to learn how to attract new students to join the school. ......

The diversified job settings enable each participant to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the characteristics and requirements of different careers, while also providing them with richer practical opportunities.

On World Children's Day, James applied for the position of IT Manager.

I carefully planned a series of daily tasks for him. Firstly, I took him on a tour of the campus network and equipment, and then I led him to various classrooms to check out the electronic equipment in the classrooms, the televisions hanging in the corridors, and I made a point of giving him a tour of our campus mainframe room.

He had a great day, showing great interest in the overall workings of the IT department, and was even excited to try and print his own academic report with us.

James is one of those kids who isn't very good with words, but he seems to have found his niche in the technology sector and has a particular passion for it. He was amazed at the complexity and rigour of our workflow when printing out his report, and during the iPad management check, he took the initiative to become the teacher's right-hand man, putting the iPad back on the iPad cart in an orderly manner.
